Intellinet wifi card
When playing games online, suddenly losing connection for minute intervals is just not acceptable. I guess I will be picking up a USB adapter after all.
Lesson learned: only buy products with 5 egg ratings. Cons: The box specifically says supports windows 7, but I have yet to find a working driver. I have 32 bit windows 7. Intellinet has a small, ineffective support page on their website with no number for technical support calls. I tested the card on an xp machine and it works great. Its not a hardware issue.
Pros: I actually got this from a friend a few months back and I was very surprised. It has never dropped a signal and always finds my network and best of all it comes ready to use with windows 7 without having to install any drivers. Threw some in a lab with 12 pc's, got the drivers installed, and some of them just wouldn't see any wireless networks I'll update the review once I've dealt with Intellinet's support.
Cons: None, until now. I dont know if anyone else is having this same problem, but I cant use it, it will blue screen when I try to install the driver for it. It was working fine before, I went to their website for support and even downloaded the right driver and also tried the cd that along with it still blue screens so I think the card might be defective now.
Only lasted me a few months.. Overall Review: I dont believe im using the wrong drivers for this, so the fact that the card went bad after this long shows how good it really is.
Pros: Easy installation, works well, haven't lost signal yet. Fast transfer rate. Cons: Windows 7 will not plug and play this device.
It will recognize the hardware but the drivers. You have to use the CD supplied to install drivers or download and transfer to the computer. Item doesn't NOT come with hardware to secure the computer no screws. Overall Review: So far this hardware is works as it should, I don't like that I had to find or use the CD to install the drivers.
This computer will be used solely to sling data around the house with very little Internet activity, I will update once this computer is used to its potential and the network card it used to its fullest intent. Pros: Works great, easy installation. The only problem was my mistake of entering the wrong security key while trying to connect to the wireless router. Once the right key was entered, it connected okay. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg. This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked.
Out of Stock. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. When I right click on it and click 'open diagnostic testing mode' I get this: Utility verification Pass Supplicant verification Pass Driver verification Pass Wireless Lan Card verification WLAN Card disabled.
Fail Things I have tried: -Looking for new updates plus uninstalling and searching for new hardware through device manager.
Things you might want to know: -My ethernet connection works fine. Neither of them are on. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
